1. Paella or anything with sea food
I love sea food, I love saffron so anything with sea food and saffron is a hit with me. Crab, prawns, mussels, fish to name a few.
2. Pork Pies
I love pork pies, well proper Melton Mowbray ones. Crisp hot-water crust pastry wrapped around tender, tasty pork. No bits, or lumps or ucky bits! I like a small amount of flavoursome jelly too. Mmmm delicious
3. Bacon Sandwiches
Another favourite but it has to be done properly. White bread, not pappy ready sliced, homemade is best. With butter, crispy bacon and tomato ketchup.
4. Pastry
Anything wrapped in pastry. I love chicken and mushroom pies, steak pies if homemade (I don't like "bits" you know, the nasty bits ugh). Sausage rolls, quiche, apple pie, cherry bakewell. Anything at all.
5. Potatoes
Potatoes in any shape or form. Boiled, roasted, chips, baked, fried, mashed.....
It's the Irish in me I'm told haha!
6. Olive Oil and Butter
Olive oil for everything I can't do with butter. For thousands of years humans have used these. You can keep your margarines and It Doesn't Taste Anything Like Butter! The best olive oil in the world comes from Kalamata, and the best olives. Don't tell anyone as they are already difficult to find due to the hardships in Greece.
7. Fruit
I like most fruit but I'm lazy and it's almost impossible to buy fruit anymore that is "ready to eat". I love peaches and nectarines, apricots and melons, but they are always under ripe. If left to ripen they rot first. Give me a ripe fresh piece of fruit and it will be gone in a flash.
8. White Chocolate.
I know it's not real chocolate I just love it. I also love condensed milk. When I was little I dreamt of having a tin to myself to eat off a spoon. When I became an independent adult I bought a tin. Needless to say I didn't eat it all and yes I did feel sick but I still love it.
9. Cabbage, Brussel Sprouts, Greens, Spinach, Broccoli
I love all the Brassicas and green leafed vegetables. I actually love all vegetables except Okra.
10. Marmite!
Of course. We are all Marmite lovers or haters and I love it.
What are your favourite foods? Do you love or hate Marmite?
