Bloggers Lunch at Benugo - John Lewis Cardiff
Last week I was invited* to attend a bloggers lunch at John Lewis Benugo café. I jumped at the chance to taste their new Spring menu and have lunch with local bloggers. Bear came too. It was a glorious sunny day and the Benugo Café takes full advantage of this with their floor to ceiling glass windows. It's a lovely setting for lunch although the sunshine did make taking photo's a bit tricky. We started with Couscous and then onto wraps and baguettes. They were amazing and so many were suitable for vegetarians too. My absolute favourite was the Middle Eastern wrap with spinach falafel. It was not like anything I'd had before. Tucked inside the wrap was spinach falafels, tzatziki, humous, cucumber, feta, roast peppers and rocket. Truly delicious. Just be aware that their Basil Chicken and Nduja wrap is very, very yummy but hot! I didn't know what nduja was, it's a spicy spreadable sausage with Calabrian peppers which give it it's chilli heat.
We were then treated to millionaires shortbread (bye bye Slimming World, these are my all time favourite indulgence), chocolate brownies and gluten free lemon cake. The lemon cake was moist and delicious and Bear, who never eats cakes, loved the brownies.

Bear just loved joining everyone for lunch and played really happily with his new lorries. I ordered a coffee and Bear saw the little milk bottle and wanted to drink it. How could I say no? Needless to say my black coffee was delicious.
It is a lovely place to stop for lunch so if you are in shopping pop into Benugo at John Lewis for lunch. You will not be disappointed.
