Our Weekly Journal 27th March - Water and Singing
Some weeks I just forget to take photos! We did have a quiet week as the weather was awful and it only seemed to brighten up in the afternoons when Bear went down for his nap. So what do you do when it's raining outside? Play with water of course, then dress up in your waterproofs with Gruffalo wellies and go hunting for puddles.
I love our tuff tray, they are not cheap but we use it all year around. In the kitchen with water or the dining room full of rice and pasta. When its warm and sunny we put it outside and fill with water. It keeps Bear happy for hours.
If we can, we try to get out, even if it is just a walk around our estate (housing estate not family mansion and grounds, if only). Bear had new JoJo Maman Bébé waterproof legging so we had to try them out. They are definitely water and mud proof.
When we got home from jumping in muddy puddles I washed Bear down with a hose, he loved it!
Just look at that little face. A perfect, if somewhat grubby, face xx |
This is what playing is all about. Splashing in muddy puddles...on someone else's drive, oops sorry! |
A puddle can be anywhere, here on the tarpaulins covering the trampoline is a puddle just perfect for floating a boat |
What's new this week?
In a word - singing. Bear has sung all week long. He has sung Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Wheels On The Bus and on his way to bed, as he climbed the stairs he sang Jingle Bells. Where did he get that from? We haven't sung Jingle Bells since Christmas. So beware, your little ones are listening and learning, and will repeat what you say maybe months later.
Bear has sung "🎶 all day long 🎶" all day long! |
