Slimming World Weigh In #9


I faced the scales with trepidation, my Syns this week topped 130. Oh yes I had indulged. I really fancied toast on Wednesday so had that with my eggs, so far Syn free but I put butter on. I did weigh it but it was the first of many naughties.
I had a lovely lunch at John Lewis on Thursday. I was there with Bear to sample the new Spring menu so I had to try everything. Maybe I should have given the millionaires shortbread a miss but it is my favourite and I haven't had any treats for two months. Then Friday I went out to an Italian restaurant with friends and everything looked full of Syns so I just chose what looked the least, meatballs and pasta. Followed by Créme Brûlée and a glass of red wine. I haven't put any photos on here as I didn't want to tempt anyone but there are lots of lovely pictures on my other post.

How Am I Doing This Week?


Before I tell you my weigh in result I had a really good moment. Getting ready to go out on Friday I tried on a blouse that I haven't worn for a year, it had become too small and it gaped across my boobs. It fit me again. Now I know where I am losing weight. Not off my waist where I desperately want to lose it but off my boobs.

OK so how did I do? I stayed the same, this is a little disappointing but I suppose it's better than gaining. Back on the plan and fingers crossed I lose next week.

What Have I Eaten This week?

Breakfast

Eggs
Toast & Butter
Oats and Banana

Lunch

Salmon, roast squash and chips
Fish curry and rice
Benugo Café wraps and baguettes, millionaires shortbread
Cod with tomatoes and bacon, herby rice and grated vegetable salad
Salmon, salsa and potatoes
Lamb, couscous, stuffed pepper and salsa
Roast chicken, vegetables and roast potatoes

Dinner

Chilli con carne and rice
Roast beef, carrots, brussel sprouts and roast potatoes
Chicken and roasted vegetables
Meatballs, spaghetti, crème brûlée
Slow cooked lamb, broccoli, brussel sprouts, sweetcorn and potatoes
Lamb, stuffed pepper, couscous and salsa
Spaghetti bolognese

In Between

Wine
Rich tea biscuit
Brazil nuts
Muller light yoghurts

Total Syns this week = 130+
Total weight loss = 14.5lbs

My best recipe this week is Slimming World Salsa. It's easy, Syn free and delicious with cold meats and couscous.

  1. Ahh! Well done. You at least stayed the same after a bit of indulging!
    hehehe! When I lose weight it always comes off my boobs first too which seems a little unfair when I need it off other places first.
    All the food looks so good x

  2. I hope you enjoyed your lunch out at John Lewis and like you say first treats in a couple of months. My SW leader always says really enjoy them and then get over it and straight back on plan. Fabulous news about the blouse, it is so nice when a surprise like that comes along, it is not all about the scales. Mich x

  3. I think sometimes you need a little treat to help you keep on plan, I know I always enjoy my treats more knowing that they are few and far between. Love a non-scale victory too, well done!
