Lottie Dolls - Muddy Puddles and Astro Adventurer Outfit Set - A Review

When we were asked to review* Lottie Dolls - Muddy Puddles and Astro Adventurer outfit set we didn't hesitate. We have no gender divides here and Bear enjoys pushing prams and playing with the dolls house at his Tots Club as much as playing with the other toys, so I knew he would love Lottie.

He was really excited when the box was opened and wanted to dress Lottie as an astronaut straight away. He isn't three yet so he had trouble removing the clothes and putting the new ones on but that didn't spoil his fun. He was really interested in the accessories that came with the Astro Adventurer outfit especially the stars.

Being under three I did keep an eye on all the small pieces, there are warnings on the box about choking hazard and we are well aware that although Bear doesn't put things in his mouth anymore, there is a risk. I keep all the little bits in one place and am with him when he plays.

Bear couldn't wait to play with the Astro Adventure set

In the Muddy Puddles Lottie Doll box there is a doll wearing tights, shorts, T-shirt, wellies and the most gorgeous raincoat. The clothes are really well made and the doll is a great size. Perfect for little hands and childlike rather than an idealised adult. She also has really long hair which totally fascinated Bear and I am sure will be brushed and played with lots in the future.

There are lots of accessories to make doll playing fun and we were given the Astro Adventures set. Lottie can quickly transform from a doll dressed and ready for the rain to an astronaut.

We visited the local park and Bear took Lottie. it was really hot and sunny but Lottie didn't complain once, she was happy in her wellies and raincoat. I tried to get some photos of them together but Bear just wanted to hug her so she posed alone for me.

Lottie posed beautifully for me and didn't complain once despite the heat

Lottie is quite tricky to dress and undress as she is small and her legs are made of a "grippy" plastic (it definitely stops her tights from slipping down). This would not be a problem for older children but was too difficult for Bear. I had trouble putting together and taking apart the space helmet, I think children may need an adult to help them with this (or maybe I just needed a six year old child to help me?) Lottie is a lovely doll for children. Both boys and girls will love to play with either her or Finn, a boy doll. She looks well made and her outfits are adorable.

Lottie and her accessories can be bought from toy shops or online at Lottie Dolls. She costs £18.99  and the Astro Adventurer outfit is £11.99. All dolls come fully dressed and there are lots of outfits to chose from.
