He is happiest playing outside and although it's been dryer it's also been really cold. Lots of gorgeous sunrises and frosty days. Bear doesn't feel the cold. He just like playing with water and helping Grandad in the garden.
On Thursday Bear wouldn't have a morning nap so Grandad took him shopping. They went for milk but came back with a huge truck! I made Bear cheese on toast for his morning snack but just knew he wouldn't want to sit in his highchair to eat it when he had a new toy to play with so I cut it into little bits that I could feed him on the move. I thought I'd try sitting him on a chair at the table, fully expecting him to want to get down straight away but he sat there so good and ate his toast.
I did some with jam too but he left those. Bear doesn't like jam. |

Listening to Great Grandad on the answer phone |
Nothing specific but understanding loads, gibbering away and saying "Georgie, Georgie, Geordie, Geordie" I think he likes the sound, oh and Grandad repeats it to him so he just says it back.
He's really trying to talk. Before he would point and grunt or make any sort of noise, now he's trying to say the correct word. When he does it it is possible to understand him although the words alone wouldn't make much sense.
Lots of places had some snow this week but not us in Cardiff. I'll leave you with a picture from my kitchen window on a frosty morning this week.
Have you had a quiet week? Did you get snow?
My children keep asking to play outside but the weather is all over the place at the moment. We didn't have much snow, enough for them to be happy and make the tiniest snowman.
ReplyDeleteI know it's so difficult, Bear keeps pointing at the garden but most of the time it's tipping down. I would have loved just a little snow.
Deleteaww we had a brief slither of snow and then nothing! not long now until he starts to get the right words! all of a sudden it would just happen (it took us completely by suprised and ours acted like they had been saying these words the whole time ) haha good old grandad :)
ReplyDeleteHe's so close to talking and gets so angry when I don't understand!
DeleteNo snow here either, much to my boys annoyance! Hope your little one is back to full cheer this week!
ReplyDeleteJust enough for a snowman would keep us all happy :-)
DeleteWe didn't get any snow this week but had some last week, it only lasted a day but my boys loved it! They played outside for a couple of hours, making snowmen and having snowball fights! :)
ReplyDeleteOh so jealous, I only want a small amount. It will probably arrive in Feb and grind Cardiff to a standstill!
DeleteWe still haven't had snow! Very disappointed! Seems like a nice quiet week, best for recharging batteries!
ReplyDeleteLack of snow is really disappointing so many children...and a few of us adults too!
DeleteGorgeous picture of the sunrise! Well, we all need a little space and quiet! We had a busy week but looking forward to quiet this week. Boys and their trucks! Thanks for sharing with #abitofeverything
ReplyDeleteI'm never sure what's harder, a busy week or a quiet one with a clingy toddler. He's on the mend thankfully. X
DeleteAwr bless him, I hope he is a bit more himself now. It is horrible when they are miserable. So cute that he is trying hard to talk :)
ReplyDeleteI know, they just don't know what's happening when they are poorly. He thinks he can talk and it's just silly Nanny who can't understand lol
DeleteNo snow thank goodness! I hate the cold and unluckily for me I have a very outdoorsy little boy #abitofeverything
ReplyDeleteI hate the cold too but am truly sick of rain. Snow would have been a welcome relief. I just love that your little one loves the outdoors :-)
