Ravensburger Toy Wonderama Jigsaw Puzzle - Review

Ravensburger Toy Wonderama Jigsaw Puzzle - Review*

Jigsaw puzzles bring back so many memories. Each Christmas my mother had one spread across the dining table that we would all add a little to as we wandered by. How she found time as a mother of four children I'll never know. So when Ravensburger sent me the Toy Wonderama jigsaw puzzle to review it wasn't just the picture on the front that took me back to my childhood.

The name Ravensburger is synonymous with jigsaw puzzles, and for good reason. They are beautifully made and now have "soft click" which means every piece fits perfectly only with it's correct neighbour. Toy Wonderama is a 500 piece puzzle, illustrated by Aimee Stewart. It features a wide range of vintage toys including space-ships, robots, old cars and merry-go-rounds.

I found a piece of hardboard large enough for the completed puzzle as I thought I'd spend a few minutes to start the puzzle and come back later to finish it. That didn't happen. I was hooked from the first moment of finding the corners and the edge pieces.

I spent a wonderful rainy afternoon completing the puzzle. No screens, no distractions just me and the puzzle. It is a great way to relax and it worked my brain too.

Toy Wonderama is the perfect jigsaw puzzle for a novice or anyone like me, a bit rusty. The picture is divided into four rows so finding pieces is easy. There are no huge expanses of one colour either and I finished it in a couple of hours. The pieces fit together easily and most importantly the patterns match, there is no wondering if that is the correct piece. It fits, therefore it is.

The puzzle measures 49.3 x 36.2cm when complete and costs just £7.99 from Amazon .

Looking for more of a challenge? Maybe try the 40,320 piece (yes, it really does have that many pieces) Disney Moments Puzzle. A huge puzzle RRP £399.99 but is discounted at present to £292.16.

*I was given this puzzle for the purpose of a review, all opinions are honest and my own.
