Brio Builders Starter Set - Review*
Anyone who reads our blog will know we love Brio. It's well made (we have some over 30 years old) and children love it. We didn't know they made construction sets until we were asked to review the Brio Builders Starter Set.Bear loves making things and this set quickly became his favourite.
The set contains 48 pieces including nuts, bolts a spanner and pliers. It comes packed into it's own plastic carry case, perfect for the mobile builder.
The wooden blocks are connected with nuts and bolts and plastic plugs. The plugs are small and fit tightly so pliars are needed to take them out. Bear loved the pliars. He found the plugs a little difficult to put in but spent ages pulling them out.
It is a great set to fuel a childs imagination and comes with a pamphlet with illustrations of projects that can be made with the set.
Due to the small parts, which could be a choking hazard, the set is recommended for ages 3 and up.
Bear was eager to use the spanner and enjoyed putting the nuts onto the bolts, even if they were not holding anything together.
What a proud boy! With a little help he constructed this car - and it works. The wheels are sturdy and turn easily on the axles.
Bear The Builder. Everything fits into the carry case, even the completed car. |
The Brio Builders Starter Set is available from all good toy shops and costs £16.99.
