The Cheese Tag

The lovely (and slightly crazy but in a warm, and very funny sort of way) Mrs Helicopter has tagged me in The Cheese Tag. Jess is a turophile. I love cheese so couldn't say no.
Jess asked me some questions, I put the answers here and then tag some other cheese lovers to answer them on their blog. Easy Peasy.

So here goes;

1) What is your favourite cheese and why?

This is difficult because I like so many but I think it has to be good old Cheddar. A nice mature cheddar. It is so versatile, a little bit grated goes a long way, or sliced with onions in a sandwich or on toast. Yep definitely my favourite.

2) List your top 3 and describe them.

Excluding Cheddar above;

Feta
A crumbly Greek cheese, quite salty and great crumbled and sprinkled onto salads

Stilton
A blue English cheese, creamy and full of flavour.

Cream Cheese

Any either plain like Philadelphia or full of herbs and garlic like Boursin. Anything that is spreadable and great with crackers.

3) Did you like cheese as a kid?

Oh yes, I think thats where my love of Stilton comes from, it was my parents favourite

4) Is there a cheese you don’t like? Why?

I can't think of any

5) Any bad experiences with cheese?

Not that I can think of, it doesn't give me nightmares either.

6) Do you associate a particular cheese with a specific event? List all!

Stilton and Christmas
Cheese with bits of fruit in it (like apricot or cranberries) Christmas

7) What is your favourite food to accompany your cheese?

Crusty, very fresh bread and lots of butter but I have recently tried pecan nuts and Red Leicester cheese together, delicious

8) What is your favourite beverage to accompany your cheese?

Red wine of course

9) What is your favourite way to eat cheese as an ingredient? Eg pizza, macaroni cheese, mash. Whatevs

This is difficult but it comes back to with bread, so cheese and onion sandwiches, cheese on toast, baked camembert with fresh bread.

10) If you could only eat either cheese or chocolate for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

Not a fair question! I would have to say chocolate (sorry Jess)

11) Have you ever experienced cheese sweats? (you’ve had too much cheese)

No, is this really a thing?

12) Do your children and / or pets like cheese?

My husband does, my daughter does but when my son was young he wouldn't eat it unless it was on pizza.

13) What’s your favourite cheesy film?

Pretty Woman or Love Actually. I can't decide. I love them both equally.

14) What’s your favourite cheesy song?

I don't do cheesy songs, I have impeccable taste in music. (I say whilst googling the titles of songs as I am useless at remembering any).

500 miles - The Proclaimers is that cheesy enough? Umm then Denise - Debbie Harry, still not cheesy enough? Ok James Blunt - You're Beautiful

15) Ultimate test: If you were offered a million pounds in cold, hard cash to give up cheese for the rest of your life, would you do it?

Absolutely! Before you could change your mind! I love cheese but I'm not a turophile!

Just to finish up here's a couple of cheesy jokes

What cheese is made backwards?
Edam

What do you call cheese that isn't yours?
Nacho Cheese!

I tag;

Pixie Does
A Slice Of My Life Wales
First Time Valley Mam
Ojo's World
